15th of July, 1995

She was smoking a cig and sipping on a ginger ale
The 15th of July, 1995
She wore a cherry red scarf that she bought a sidewalk sale
The 15th of July, 1995

It rained all morning long
And then the sun peeked through the clouds
And the clouds dripped away
It was a brilliant Saturday

We only talked for a little while waiting for the bus
The 15th of July, 1995
And all the stars lined up, but not for us
The 15th of July, 1995

It rained all morning long
And then the sun peeked through the clouds
And the clouds slipped away
For a brilliant Saturday

Now when I feel like this I always think of her
And the 15th of July, 1995
When I think about all the things that never were
The 15th of July, 1995

The 15th of July
