I Am What I Am

I'm not cool and I'm not hot
A leopard can not change its spots
I am what I am

I'm not meek and I'm not mild
Running scared or running wild
I am what I am

And I thought that you should know
That I'll probably stay until I go

I'm not pretty, I'm not plain
I use one hundredth of my brain
I am what I am

I'm not skinny, I'm not fat
But pound for pound and tit for tat
I am what I am

And I hope that you know that I
Will probably live until I die

I am what I am

And I hope you understand
That I'll be there unless I change my plan

Sometimes I'm the sweetest guy
Like an angel in the sky
I am what I am

Sometimes I'm a total jerk
Quite a nasty piece of work
I am what I am

And I hoping you can see
That both of these people are me

I am not a perfect man
But I do the best I can
I am what I am

I'm not dumb and I'm not smart
But I've got love inside my heart
I am what I am

The things I do seem awful strange
It's too late for me to change
I am what I am

I am what I am
