A Magnificent Noise

I went to college but I didn't learn a thing
Got a guitar and I attempted to sing
I hung around with all the wild girls and boys
And I learned to make a magnificent noise

I never learned too many difficult chords
Won't be accepting many Grammy awards
But I wrote some tunes my dear old mother enjoys
Yes I love to make a magnificent noise

Got a beat up and then another beat up van
And now I'm damn sure
I played in every state except for
Maine, Vermont, Hawaii and New Hampshire

I'd like to thank you all for listening to me
And being kind if I start singing off key
I wasn't blessed with too much talent or poise
But I love to make a magnificent noise

It's so hard to change your style
Or to change your outfit when it fits ya
I've performed at taverns, nightclubs, honky tonks
Saloons, bars and bar mitzvahs

I'd like to thank you all for listening to me
And being kind if I start singing off key
I wasn't blessed with too much talent or poise
But I love to make a magnificent noise

Yes I love to make a magnificent noise
I really love to make a magnificent
A truly magnificent
Noise
